Biography G. Sivakumar holds a BS in 1994, an MS in 1996, and a PhD in 2001. He joined the Arkansas Biosciences Institute at Arkansas State University faculty in 2007. He is the author or co-author of over 36 peer-reviewed journal or book chapter publications on bioprocess engineering, industrial-scale bioreactor technologies, biopharmaceuticals, adventitious or hairy root culture, plant-based small molecules, metabolomics, analytical chemistry, drug discovery, medicinal chemistry, downstream technologies, renewable energy technologies from dedicated energy crops or algae, bio-based products and plant metabolic engineering. He is a pioneer in industrial-scale liquid-phase bioreactor for root culture at huge scales and linking research with multinational pharmaceutical industries. He is on the editorial board of the Journal of Nanomedicine & Biotherapeutic Discovery and Journal of Bioprocessing & Biotechniques. He is an internationally known expert in the fields of bioprocess, biopharmaceuticals, bioenergy and has given over 7 invited talks. He has taught at the Arkansas Biosciences Institute, Arkansas State University and at Chungbuk National University. His research group is currently focusing industrial technologies for therapeutic management of cancer using effective natural stereoisomers of the unique anticancer molecules and planning directions for the future potential new medicine.
