Research projects at ASU-Jonesboro, along with UA-Fayetteville and UALR, received another boost Wednesday, as Gov. Mike Beebe announced that he is releasing $1.5 million in Accelerate Arkansas funds to provide additional funding for research projects at the three universities. Earlier, $9 million in funding from the National Science Foundation's EPSCoR program had been announced by the Arkansas Science and Technology Authority. An additional $3 million is anticipated in the future because of the economic development potential. Dr. Carole Cramer, ABI, is one of the project principal investigators.
