INTERNSHIPS IN THE COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE AND TECHNOLOGY

The purpose of the Internship Program is to provide students with the opportunity to obtain worthwhile experiences that cannot normally be acquired at the University, Interns benefit from the opportunity to apply their classroom knowledge immediately to the practical “laboratory” of current business practices and techniques. Academic faculty, employers and public agencies work together with the interns to enhance the connection between classroom theory and real-world practice.

The internship allows the student to work for an employer without a commitment to full-time employment following graduation.  Students who participate in the Internship Program normally work for one semester (14-16 weeks).
