About Us

The Arkansas State University Small Business and Technology Development Center was established on the Arkansas State University campus in 1983 to provide professional assistance to start-up and existing businesses in Northeast and North-Central Arkansas. Located in the College of Business, the ASU SBTDC provides training to small business owners and entrepreneurs on a variety of topics from start-up requirements to tax issues, marketing, loan assistance, and Internet as well as E-Commerce opportunities. Additionally, the ASU SBTDC provides research and industry information to help small businesses obtain the necessary information to develop strong business and marketing plans. Finally, the ASU SBTDC provides free confidential one-on-one business consulting. Consulting includes assistance such as business plans, marketing planning, financial analysis, business valuation, loan proposal assistance, and E-Commerce solutions.

The ASU SBTDC is part of the US Small Business Administration and the Arkansas State University College of Business. This unit coordinates the economic development outreach services of the university and provides a coordinated and comprehensive approach to serving the businesses, governments, and citizens of the Arkansas Delta.

Because the SBTDC Consultants travel throughout the fifteen county region, appointments are necessary to ensure that a consultant is available to meet with you. Our Business Start-Up Kit can be downloaded from this website.

If you reside outside of our service area, assistance is available through one of the other ASBTDC locations.

If you reside outside of Arkansas, assistance is available through other SBDCs.
