Driver's Education

Session 2    June 15-June 26
Session 3    July 6-July 17
Session 4    July 20-July 30

A beginning learn-to-drive course will be offered in each of the four two-week sessions held throughout the summer.  Beginning Driver Education is worth ½ credit on your high school transcript if requested.  This course is designed to provide instruction for beginning drivers ages 14-25.  The course will include classroom tests, audio-visual presentations, and in-car instruction.  Sessions will meet the first day in HPESS room 132 from 11:00-12:00 with hours thereafter between 8:00am to 12:00 pm.

To enroll payment should be made at the Cashier’s window then present your receipt in the HPESS office to reserve your session.  Payment must be received before selecting a session.  Checks should be made payable to Arkansas State University. 

Enrolled students must then secure a driver’s permit from the examining officer at the Arkansas State Police before class begins.  Each session will hold a maximum of 36 students.
