April 1, 2009 found students,  faculty, staff, and community people attending the Founders' Day events held on the ASU campus. Hundreds turned out for the Exhibit Fair, float display, entertainment, and picnic luncheon. The end of the day was highlighted with a parade in downtown Jonesboro.
