Peggy Robinson Wright graduated from Arkansas State University with a BA in Geography and a Master's in Public Administration. She also has a MA in Community Economic Development from Southern New Hampshire University. Previously she worked at East Arkansas Community College as adjunct faculty and continues today as full-time instructor in Geography at ASU.
Mrs. Wright is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Community Economic Development at Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester, NH.
She has been involved in community work for over 25 years, first as a Self-Help Housing director assisting 66 families to become homeowners and later as Director of the HIPPY (Home Instruction Program for Pre-School Youth) Program in St. Francis County. Continuing a passion for change in communities, she is a member of the Housing Assistance Council Board, Washington, DC, Arkansas Community Foundation, Family Justice Board, New York and the Lower Mississippi Delta Service Corps Advisory Board.
As Director of the Delta Studies Center with a passion for change in communities she works to foster partnerships and relationships across the Delta region for ASU.
