BSN Application Procedure

and Deadlines

*All applications and transcripts must be received by June 15 to be considered for admission.

Please note that class size is limited and that all applicants may not be accepted into the program.

Please use the following as a general checklist:

1. Apply for Admission to ASU: http://admissions.astate.edu/

2. Take the Admission HESI A² exam (see program application page)

3. Applications for the BSN program will be avialable online beginning Spring 2012. All applications must be submitted online. For application information click on Program Application link

   Applicants must submit all transfer coursework to the ASU Jonesboro Registrar's Office by May 25th.  DO NOT submit official transcripts to the School of Nursing.

Note: When admitted to the BSN program, students will be required to supply additional documentation including current CPR certification, Hepatitis B immunizations, TB skin test or chest x-ray, Tetanus, and MMR. (these are not required for initial application)

Note: All documentation required by the School of Nursing must be kept current at all times during the course of your program.

Note: All courses completed which apply toward the BSN degree will be included in calculating the GPA for application.  Courses that do not apply toward the BSN degree WILL NOT be included in the GPA calculation.
