The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program is composed of 45 credit hours of core, support, theoretical and clinical courses that prepare the learner for entry into primary care practice. The majority of core and support courses are available online and may be pursued on a full or part time basis. Examples of full time and part time coursework selections are available on the Curriculum link.
Students must apply for admission to the FNP program. Completed Application forms and associated documentation are due February 1st each year. Application guidelines and forms are available at the link below. The FNP theoretical and clinical courses are completed on a full time basis over 3 semesters (Spring, Fall, Spring)
Policies and other information are available in a guide for graduate nursing students, entitled Graduate Information Guide (GIG). Knowledge of the policies and information in the GIG is required following admission.
