Nursing Program Applications

Beginning Spring 2012, the application process for the BSN and AASN programs will change.  Applicants to the BSN and AASN programs are now required to take an Admission Exam HESI A2  exam.  The test will be given on the ASU Jonesboro campus only (information provided below).  The admission applications are being updated and more information will be posted on the website.  Admission testing will NOT be required for the RN-BSN, LPN-BSN or 2nd Degree Accelerated Programs.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Applications:

  • *Note:  If you are selected for admission to the 2nd Degree Acclerated BSN Program, you MUST attend a full-day, mandatory orientation session on July 6, 2012.  Classes start July 9, 2012.

Readmit and Transfer Applications for AASN & BSN Programs:

Use this application if you are seeking readmission to an ASU Nursing program or you would like to transfer to ASU from another School of Nursing.

Readmission testing:  Students seeking readmission or transferring from another school to the AASN or BSN nursing programs are required to pass a standardized test created from the objectives of the courses sucessfully completed in previous semesters.  Criteria for readamission to the undergraduate nursing programs includes: 1) complete readmission packet; 2) recommendation of faculty; 3) passing score (75%) on the standardized assessment test(s) of courses previously passed; 4) cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0; and 5) space availiablity in the class.  Readmission applications and information on scheduling a testing date is located on the School of Nursing website each semester.  The cost of the readmission test is the responsibility of the student.

Payment of exam must be made before exam will be ordered!!! (REGISTRATION / PAYMENT DEADLINE is one week before test date)

The Traditional AAASN Program is offered at West Memphis (Mid-South Community College), ASU Beebe & ASU Mt. Home Campus.  Effective Spring 2013, admission testing will be required. Test Dates TBA.
