About The Convo

1. Can I schedule a tour/visit of the Convo?
To schedule a visit or tour the Convocation Center, please contact

3. Do you have an event planning guide?
To help you plan your next event, The Convo offers a free Event Planning Guide. It is recommended that all potential renters carefully read through this guide before scheduling a meeting with our staff. To view the guide,

4. May I serve alcohol at my event?
No alcoholic beverages of any type are permitted to be present, served or consumed on Convocation Center property.

5. Does The Convo have WiFi?
The Convo does have WIFI capability. Should you have a need to use WIFI for your event, please notify booking manager, Lesa Carmack at 870-972-3870. 

6. Is parking available at The Convo?
Parking at The Convo is easy and FREE. The Convo has 1,300 on-site parking spots with reserved parking for handicapped and tractor-trailer parking. There are also 2,000 adjacent paved spaces available. During university sporting events numbered spots are reserved for season ticket holders. The Convo parking lot also has 16 camper/RV hook-ups, on a first-come first served basis or call 870-972-3870 for reservations; $20 per night. This fee includes water and electricity. Dumping is prohibited.

7. What do I need to know about Handicapped Accessibility and/or parking?
For visitors to The Convo with disabilities, The Convo has ramp access between the Red and Yellow entrances. The ramp provides access to both the Red and Yellow entrances. Handicapped parking is located in parking lot E, which is between the Red and Yellow entrances, and in parking lot B for access to the meeting room areas and the Box Office lobby and athletic department entrances. Additional handicapped parking is available on the street between FowlerCenter and the KA fraternity house and on the street between The Convo and the Cooper Alumni Center.

8. Are baby changing facilities available in The Convo?
Baby changing stations are located in the women's restrooms in the upperlevels of The Convo and in the men's restroom located in the upper red entrance.

9. May I bring in my own food and beverage?
Outside food or beverages may not be brought inside The Convo. Food or drinks, not purchased through our approved food services provider is prohibited.

10. Where are the elevators in The Convo?
(Most meetings are held on the first floor of The Convo and the rooms can be accessed through the lower Red Entrance, which is handicap accessible.) The Convo has elevators located in the yellow and green entrances. 

11. Are vending machines in The Convo?
Vending machines are located in the lower green entrance of The Convo across from the Red Wolf Club and Athletics.

12. Is smoking permitted in the Convocation Center?
Smoking inside The Convo is prohibited. Out of courtesy for all guests at The Convo, please maintain a distance of 20 feet from the building when smoking and properly dispose of cigarettes in the smoke out stand.

16. Where are the restrooms located?
Restrooms are located in upper level of each of the entrances as well as right outside the Hames meeting rooms.

17. Where are the meeting rooms?
The meeting rooms are located on the first floor of The Convo and can be accessed by entering through the lower Red Entrance. Meeting rooms A, B, & C are collectively referred to as the Hames Rooms. So, if your meeting is listed in the Hames Rooms, it could be in any one or all three rooms A, B, or C. Meeting rooms A, B & C are adjacent to each other just inside the lower red entrance.

18. What is the overall seating capacity for the arena?
The overall seating capacity for the arena in banquet style seating is
approximately 1,000.

19. What is the meeting room maximum capacity?
Maximum meeting room capacity varies based on the desired room arrangement. To view the maximum capacity for each room and setup, click here.

20. Are there water fountains in The Convo?
Water fountains are located outside every restroom in The Convo.
