Welcome to the College of Education at Arkansas State University.  The College of Education offers a variety of high quality academic programs at the undergraduate and graduate level. Many of our programs are focused to prepare students to teach in the P-12 setting, serve as K-12 administrators, school counselors, school psychologists, and other school personnel. In addition to the strong professional education programs, the College of Education offers degrees in athletic training, exercise science, community college teaching, psychology, rehabilitation counseling and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership. In addition, we have extensive outreach programs through our Childhood Services, Educational Renewal Zone (ERZ), and Math and Science initiatives which benefit the Delta and the state of Arkansas. 

Quality academic programs are the result of good curriculum but, more importantly, we have faculty members who possess the necessary skills and expertise to provide excellence in the classroom. Our diverse faculty members are well-credentialed in their academic areas, but their experiences and commitment to scholarship and research impact in a positive measure their classroom teaching.  Our faculty members provide students with opportunities to learn and to apply what they have learned in their professional careers.

One way to measure excellence is through external accreditation. All of our professional education programs are accredited with the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). In addition, our school counseling program is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) and our rehabilitation counseling program is accredited by the Council on Rehabilitative Counseling (CORE). Our athletic training program has national accreditation with the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).
