Purpose of the Degree

The Specialist in Education degree with a major in Educational Administration offers educators a program of studies designed to improve their general educational and specific professional competencies as school district leaders in the public school systems. The degree is designed to provide one year of study beyond the Masters's degree and is based on recommendations from professional organizations and accrediting associations.

(Each candidate is required to compile a portfolio while completing the degree. This portfolio constitutes the exit assessment.)
