Sibylla and Kenneth Peters

Sibylla and Kenneth Peters Alpha Delta Kappa Scholarship

Alpha Delta Kappa is an International Honorary Sorority for Women Educators. As such, one of its purposes is to promote high standards of education. One way the Northeast Arkansas chapters have chosen to do this is through the presentation of a jointly-sponsored cash award each year to an outstanding undergraduate and graduate education major.

These awards are called the Sibylla and Kenneth Peters Alpha Delta Kappa Scholarship Awards in honor of Sibylla Peters' contributions and service in behalf of Alpha Delta Kappa on the local, state, and national levels and her husband, Kenneth's, financial support of this scholarship.

Applications are due into the Professional Education Programs office twice a year. Students doing an internship in a spring semester must return an application in October. Students doing an internship in a fall semester must return an application in March. Specific dates will be on the application and in announcements posted around the university. Contact Mrs. Cindy Hinson if additional information or clarification is needed.

Eligibility Requirements for the scholarship are:

  1. Recipient will receive the award in his/her teaching internship semester
  2. Must have and over all GPA of 3.00 or above
  3. Must demonstrate the abilities, personal qualities and scholarship conducive to become an outstanding teacher
