The Custodial Training Institute (CTI) has been hosted by Arkansas State University Facilities Management's Custodial Services for the past 10 years, exemplifying excellence through education and knowledge sharing. We have received rave reviews from many institutional service assistants (ISAs) and guest from as far as the NW corner of Arkansas to NE area of Jonesboro. Our program offers individuals the opportunity for fellowship, educational opportunities, vendor shows and professional development to all patrons.

Last year's program included four breakout sessions: Infectious Disease Control - Carol Ann Stohs; Hard Floor Care - Dan Spaulding; Verbal/Non-Verbal Communication - Brenda Randle; and Chemical Right to Know - Starr Fenner. Amanda McMillon shared her experience with Blood Borne Pathogens. Lastly, the event speaker was Brad Hyde. Among other insightful demonstrations, we introduced the new ASU Jonesboro Recycling Video, our guest, the Chick-Fil-A Cow, and the demonstration of our new Bulb Eater.

The CTI offers local employees the economic opportunity to obtain annual training/certifications needed to remain in workforce compliance, while gaining external professional development and skills training all in the atmosphere of camaraderie and fun. Our participants include institutional services assistants from surrounding area colleges, universities, hospitals, and K-12 institutions.
