Q. What is the difference between Professional Development & Training?
A. PD are elective opportunity to enhance your interpersonal, professional, and self-improvement areas not directly tied to your job/position. Training is usually associated with knowledge, skills and competencies of your job performance area.

Q. What is a Training Authorization form?
A. A form designed for the employee to seek permission to attend training opportunities.

Q. Do employees have to pay for external training outside of facilities?
A. No. PD&T is usually provided in-house with PD&T personnel, but many training opportunites are outside of FM and may require payment that may be offered through your department.

A. Is the location of the online training modules (FMTI) for FM.

Q. What is the minimum required number of training hours  for an employee?
A. 2 - 6% of your yearly work schedule

Q. Do we get an opportunity to use the computers to do additional training and research?
A. Every employees is allowed computer use time during the week.

A. Online, Face to Face, Group, etc.

Q. What is the difference between APPA, CAPPA, and AAFA?
A. All are educational organizations who assist facilities organizations with professional development to foster orgainzational improvement and succession planning. APPA - National, CAPPA - Regional, and AAFA - Local Chapter of CAPPA.

Q. What are Dale Carnegie courses?
A. Human Relations course used to emphasize practical principles and processes by designing programs that offer people the knowledge, skills and practices they need to add value to the organization and self.
