Welcome to the website for the College of Fine Arts ![]() I’m glad you’re browsing the website of the Arkansas State University College of Fine Arts. Our pages will provide you with information about the many exciting opportunities we offer to visual and performing artists, as well as scholarships in art, music, and theatre. ASU’s College of Fine Arts, presenting over 300 visual, performing, and cultural events annually, offers intensive performance, technical and studio training, studies in history and theory, and certified teacher preparation in art, music, and theatre. Majors and minors are offered in each department, and many of our courses are designed for non-major student participation, as well. Our mission is to provide nationally recognized innovative education, performances and programming in the visual and performing arts. As a college, we are unique! ASU has the only college in Arkansas dedicated to the Arts. Our college is comprised of the Departments of Art, Music, and Theatre, and includes the Fowler Center, home to the Bradbury Gallery, state-of-the-art teaching facilities, and four incredible performance spaces. Our graduates find careers in many creative and performance areas as artists, designers, photographers, teachers, musicians, singers, composers, actors, directors, and scenic designers. Our faculty members also excel as artists and performers whose works have been seen in galleries, collections, in concerts, on stage, in film and on television. Fowler Center’s Riceland Hall Series brings professional concerts, shows, and events to ASU for the enjoyment of our campus and Mid-South area audiences. Bradbury Gallery is home to traveling art exhibitions, student and faculty shows, and the Delta National Small Prints Exhibition. Established in 1996 by Emeritus Professor of Art Evan Lindquist, the DNSPE annual national competition has become one of the nation’s most significant venues for artists working in two-dimensional print media. Please enjoy our pages and do not hesitate to contact us directly if you can’t find the answer to your questions on our website. We look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Dr. Dale Miller |
