Program Description

The MAcc Program is a professional degree program designed for students interested in careers in accounting and related fields.  It prepares students for advancement beyond entry-level positions, and provides an excellent avenue to obtaining the 150 credit hours required to sit for the CPA exam.

The program of study for the MAcc totals 31credit hours which includes 15 hours of graduate level accounting courses covering areas including financial accounting, auditing and tax research. Topics relating to the broader business environment, technology, and international business comprise the other 16 credit hours required for completion.

As a capstone to the MAcc experience, students work with a member of the accounting graduate faculty on an in-depth research project. The capstone experience culminates in a written issues paper and a project presentation.
