Program Description

The MBA Program is a professional degree program designed to prepare students of all educational and professional backgrounds for management positions in all types of organizations.  As such, the program focuses on the development of analytical, problem-solving and decision-making competencies for the dynamic, complex global organization, and social environments.

Students interested in the traditional, on-campus instruction MBA may choose from the following optional concentrations:

Healthcare Administration – complements study in business administration with in-depth coverage of the core components of the healthcare administration arena and the unique issues and challenges facing healthcare organizations in they dynamic industry.  Students complete 24 hours of MBA core courses and 15 hours of graduate courses in Healthcare Administration.

International Business – allows students the ability to select in-depth coverage of the core components of today's international business field while furthering business administration academic careers.  Students complete 27 hours within the MBA core and 12 hours of graduate level international business coursework.

Management Information Systems – provides in-depth study of core components of today' IT field while providing students the ability to further their business administration academic careers.  Students complete 27 hours within the MBA core (including 2 graduate level MIS courses) and 9 hours of graduate level MIS coursework.

 Logistics – compliments study in business administration with in-depth coverage of the core components of the logistics functions of business as they relate to firms operating in a dynamic global business environment.  Students complete 27 hours of the MBA core and 12 hours of graduate level courses in logistics.

Admission Requirements
A complete application package, including application to the Graduate School, official transcripts, official GMAT or GRE scores, required application fee and, when required, proof of immunization must be received in the Office of the Graduate School no later than six weeks prior to the beginning of classes each semester.  International students must submit a complete application package plus official TOEFL scores no later than 90 days prior to the beginning of classes each semester to ensure time for issuance on an I-20.

Unconditional Admission
Applicants may attain unconditional admission with either the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Records Exam (GRE):

Submission of GMAT
1) A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 or its equivalent on a 4.00 scale on all undergraduate coursework completed and a minimum GMAT of 480 to achieve the formula score of 1030 as follows:  2.75 X 200 + 480 = 1030

2) A minimum GPA of 3.00 or its equivalent of a 4.00 scale on the last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework completed and a minimum GMAT of 480 to achieve the formula score of 1080 as follows:  3.00 X 200 + 480 = 1080

OR

Submission of GRE
1) A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 or its equivalent on a 4.00 scale on all undergraduate coursework completed and a minimum GRE® composite of 300 (must have a minimum of 145 on the Verbal part and a minimum of 145 on the Quantitative part) to achieve the formula score of 850 as follows: 2.75 X 200 + 300 = 850 

2) A minimum GPA of 3.00 or its equivalent on a 4.00 scale on the last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework completed and a minimum GRE® composite of 300 (must have a minimum of 145 on the Verbal part and a minimum of 145 on the Quantitative part) to achieve the formula score of 900 as follows: 3.00 X 200 + 300 = 900

The required score for the TOEFL is 550 on the paper based test, 253 on the computer based test and 79 on the internet based test.  Applicants taking the IELTS must score 6.0.
