Live. Learn. Belong. If there is one thing that we know about Honors students, it is that there is more to your story. Yes, you have been getting straight A’s since birth. Yes, you were identified as gifted-talented in the 4th grade and you have been in advanced classes ever since. Every single one of you is passionate about something—physics, philosophy, football—but certainly you are all passionate about ideas, about thinking, about learning. Yes, we have the study-obsessed (whom we cherish) — and we have free spirits, athletes, iconoclasts, introverts, extroverts, artists and entrepreneurs. They come from all over Northeast Arkansas, small towns and big cities from around the Mid-South, and even some from different corners of the world. What they all share is the conviction that college is more than just getting a degree. You want classes that stimulate your mind, professors who know your name, and friendships that last. The Honors College is just that—a place for your head and your heart. In many ways the faculty and staff in The Honors College are your life coaches. We set the bar a little higher and gently push you out of your comfort zone. Our classes are smaller, highly interactive, and thought provoking. But the learning does not stop in the classroom—it continues back to the Honors Living-Learning Community and other residence halls on campus, as a part of student organizations, and even back home to mom and dad. The Honors College will teach you how to refine your passions, remember your childhood dreams, and help you design a unique future that is all your own. The Honors College at ASU is a place to live, a place to learn, a place to belong. We want to be a part of your story—join us! |
