ASTATE Scholar


The ASTATE Scholar is the top scholarship that Arkansas State University awards to the best and brightest of each incoming freshmen class. In order to be eligible for the scholarship, each student must be a U.S. citizen, an Arkansas resident, and a 2012 graduate of an Arkansas high school. Additionally, each student must have the following :

  • Minimum 30 ACT composite (1340 SAT combined) AND
  • 3.500 cumulative GPA on the sixth semester transcript

Prospective students who qualify for the ASTATE Scholar and want to be considered in the eligible applicant pool are required to submit a student resume and two recommendation letters to the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships no later than December 1, 2011.

 

As the top scholarship at ASU, the ASTATE Scholar provides $14,000, inclusive of a double occupancy room for on-campus housing (valued at $3720), for the academic year. Depending on the eligible applicant pool, the university names approximately 40 ASTATE Scholars each academic year.
