Honors Admissions

ENTERING FRESHMEN FOR FALL 2009 AND BEYOND

ACT composite score of 27 (or higher) AND a high school GPA of 3.50 (or higher)


All incoming freshmen for Fall 2010 who meet the above criteria will be formally admitted to The Honors College. All students formally admitted to Arkansas State University will be automatically screened for admission to The Honors College; there is not a separate application for The Honors College.
ENTERING FRESHMEN (Fall 2008 and prior)
Students with an ACT composite score of 24 (or higher) OR a high school GPA of 3.50 (or higher) are considered "Honors Eligible." Students should consult with their departmental advisor and a member of The Honors College staff prior to enrolling in an honors course.
CURRENT ASU Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, or Transfer students (18 or more credit hours)
Students with an outstanding academic record are strongly encouraged to apply for admission to The Honors College. Students applying should have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 and be recommended by a faculty member or their academic advisor.

Students must complete the Honors Transfer Application and submit it to The Honors College.
