Honors Ambassadors

For many students, The Honors College is an important factor in their decision to attend Arkansas State University. The purpose of the Honors Ambassadors is to guide prospective students through their college decision-making process and support those who decide to come to ASU through the beginning of the Fall 2012 semester.

 Please read this page thoroughly before completing the application.

Expectations of Honors Ambassadors

  • Be a welcoming, authentic representative of ASU and The Honors College
  • Be well-informed about ASU and The Honors College (and willing to learn)
  • Offer excellent customer service to prospective students and their families

Responsibilities of Honors Ambassadors

  • Attend Honors Preview Day (Tuesday, October 18, 2011, 1:30-6pm)
  • Participate in the Fall 2012 Prospective Honors Student Facebook Group (starts December 2011)
  • Show your room in the HLLC (if you live there)
  • Participate in Honors Phone-a-Thon (January 30-31 and/or February 2, 2012)
  • Attend Honors Reception Day (Saturday, March 3, 2012)

Perks of Honors Ambassadors  

  • Learn more about what is NEW in The Honors College at ASU
  • Real world leadership skills (looks great on your resume!)
  • FREE FOOD (pizza, chinese, etc.) at Phone-a-Thon and other Honors Ambassador events
  • Homemade cookies and brownies from Rebecca!

Selection Process

To apply students must complete the Honors Ambassadors ApplicationApplications Due: Friday, September 23, 2011Honors Ambassadors will be notified of their selection on or before October 5, 2011.
