Undergraduate Research Travel Funds This year the Office of Research and Technology Transfer (ORTT) more than doubled the annual amount available to support undergraduate research travel from $3,000 to $7,000 and increased the individual award ceiling from $250 to $400. Given twice a year, these funds are available to undergraduate students to present research or creative works at a professional conference or meeting.

These sources can include the following: a SURF (Student Undergraduate Research Fellowship) or other sponsored award; funding from the college, department, faculty sponsor, or student’s own resources; or another named source.
