Social Events and Activities

Students in the Intensive English Program/ESL Program enjoy many social events and activities organized by TICE and our activities Director. These events and activities bring a leisurely component to our program that provides entertainment and socialization to students’ learning experience. We invite you to participate in any event that interest you. Get involved!

If you don’t see an event or activity listed that you would like to see offered or if you have any suggestions for future social events or activities, please contact Rani Cooksey at rcooksey@astate.edu.

Some typical events and activities are:

  • Bowling night
  • Movie night
  • ASU sporting events: NCAA Division 1A football, basketball, soccer, baseball.
  • NBA basketball games (Memphis Grizzlies)
  • Turtle Creek Mall shopping trips
  • Intramural sports: soccer (outdoor/ indoor), flag football, softball, bowling, and more!
  • Day and overnight trips to points of interest: St. Louis, Memphis, Little Rock, surrounding area.
