The Circulation desk provides convenient access to required reading materials selected by the faculty. The reserve collection allows many students to equally share class assigned readings. Materials that are photocopied should comply with the copyright laws.
The reserve collection includes ASU books, articles, class notes, videotapes, audiotapes, journals, and any other materials, which are required for class assignments.
All materials in the collection are listed by requesting faculty members name or course in the Reserve Reading list available on the online catalog. You can also get the information at the Circulation Desk.
Reserve Loan Periods
Reserve materials circulate for a limited time, which is determined by the faculty. Loan periods are one hour, two hour, and twenty-four hour. Five reserve items may be checked out at one time. A valid ASU ID is required to check out materials. A fine of $.25 and hour or fraction of an hour is charged for reserve materials that are not returned within one hour of the time due. Reserve material can only leave the library at the request of the faculty member. Journals and non-circulating materials may not leave the library. The maximum charge for a reserve item is $25.00.
Reserve items cannot be checked out if you have overdue books or owe a fine of $5.00 or more.
Faculty may print out a copy of the reserve form by clicking one of the links below:
