Systems Department

      The Systems Department of the Dean B. Ellis library is part of the Technical Services Division. We are located in the basement of the library adjacent to the Acquisitions Department. Our faculty and staff provide general technical support to the staff and public who use library computer equipment for their work and research needs. Our staff is also responsible for the library's website development and maintenance, the administration of the library's ILS: ExLibris Voyager (our online catalog), and the management of all online access to the library's electronic resources.

    The ASU library offers 125 computer systems that are availible for public use. These systems offer Internet access, printing capability, and use of the Microsoft Office software suite.

    The software lab is also availible for student use, and features installations of various software packages that are used throught the ASU campus that are gathered together and available in one location.

    The Library's servers currently run several different operating systems including Windows 2003 Server, Sun Solaris 10, Free BSD, Cent OS, as well as Mac OS X, Windows XP, and Windows Vista.
