Jonesboro, AR (October 15th, 2011) – Do comets have tails? How far is it to space?  Investigate the science behind rockets and try your hand at landing a space shuttle! Astronomy: It’s A Blast! will be in Jonesboro at the Arkansas State University Museum from October 2011 to February 2012. The exhibit is making its way across the state thanks to the Arkansas Discovery Network, a network of seven museums and learning centers funded by the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation.

Astronomy: It’s A Blast! answers these questions and tackles such hard-to-grasp concepts as celestial navigation, black holes, and rocket propulsion. You’ll have a blast at this exhibit learning the difference between the myths and realities of space science.
