FN Grades

The FN grade means that the student has an F average in the course and the student is no longer showing up to the class.

The student has attended the class before so the student was ineligible for a WN grade during the WN period.

The student has not dropped the class and is therefore, still on the class roster. The FN grade will count in the student's gpa.

The FN grade can be given at mid terms and for a final grade. There is no time period for FN grades since FN is a final grade (just like any standard letter grade.)

The FN grade will be valuable because it shows that the student did not earn the F from not learning the material. The student earned the F average from not attending and not dropping.
