Strategic Planning
Founded upon the State's acknowledgment of Arkansas State University as an increasingly important center of research and scholarship, the Office of Research and Technology Transfer has expanded its core mission to facilitate and expand scholarship, research, creative activities, translational discovery, and economic development by providing leadership, resources, coordination, and oversight. Its vision is to achieve national prominence in scholarship, translational discovery, and economic development by:
- Providing incentives for intellectual discovery, creative problem solving, and the dissemination and application of knowledge
- Developing strategic areas of foci that connect campus units to one another and connect the University to the region
- Establishing national and international partnerships in research
- Conducting programs that contribute significantly to social and economic development
- Exposing students to experiential learning opportunities in the area of research
- Offering superior support services to research clientele
- Establishing national and international partnerships in research

- Attaining national recognition as a top public research University
- Building and supporting strategic partnerships
- Improving facilities, infrastructure, and administrative support for research
- Strengthening human resources programs to develop a highly skilled workforce in the State of Arkansas
