The Associate Vice Chancellor has responsibility for facilitating, advancing, and managing the research effort on the ASU campus. The AVCR likewise oversees responsible and ethical conduct in research and other sponsored activities.

Under the direction of the Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, the Research Compliance Officer acts as a liaison to the IRB, IACUC, Radiation/Laser Safety Committee, and the Biosafety Committee, develops research policies and procedures, develops training programs, writes and/or co-writes institutional grants, and works collaboratively with the Colleges in the solicitation of grants in their areas of interest.

The Grants and Compliance Coordinator works collaboratively with the faculty in the development and submission of their grants, and ensures the maintenance of a database of all proposals and awards. The Coordinator likewise assists in the development and administration of research training programs.

The Program Coordinator provides day-to-day support to the Pre-Awards staff, manages the departmental and indirect cost budgets, and manages the student workers.

The student worker provides support services including, but not limited to, development and maintenance of the departmental website, database research and input, and other duties as assigned.
