Transfer of Credits

Transfer students should contact all universities/colleges attended to have official transcripts sent to the ASU Office of the Registrar in order to complete the transfer process.

Once your transcript has been received, a course evaluation will be completed by the registrar's personnel. This evaluation will include a listing of all general education courses and credits that are transferrable, as well as the equivalent value to the ASU course.

If you are transferring from an accredited Arkansas public two-year community college or four-year university with an Associate of Arts, Associate of Art in Teaching or Associate of Science, you will be given full satisfaction of all ASU general education requirements. Some majors may require specific general education courses as part of their degree requirements. If you haven't satisfied those specific courses, you will still be required to complete that coursework.

Once you have been admitted to Arkansas State University, you will be able to view your accepted transfer work on your ASU transcript here.

  1. Go to In.Astate and log in using your e-mail address and password.
  2. Click on the Self Service tab.
  3. Click on Student and Financial Aid.
  4. Click on Student Records.
  5. Click on Academic Transcript.
  6. Select Level, and click "submit."
  7. If you want to print, use the browser's print button.

We, the Office of the Registrar, want to help make this transition as smooth as possible, so we will work hard to see that every effort is made to match your hours so that you may receive credit for as many required courses as possible.

To help you plan for your transfer to ASU, you may want to visit the Office of the Registrar online. To check on course equivalencies before a formal evaluation has been completed, click here.

The Registrar's page is where you can also find tools such as the Undergraduate Bulletin and Degree Plans.

We also encourage you to visit campus and meet with an academic advisor in your selected area of study. Your advisor will have answers for many of your questions regarding how your transfer work will satisfy your major requirements. Your advisor will also be able to view your transcript and coursework evaluation once they are posted in the ASU webxtender.
