How to Apply for Financial Aid at Arkansas State University

• Apply for Admission to ASU at www.astate.edu.
• Apply for a Federal Student Aid PIN number for the student and parent at www.pin.ed.gov.
• Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
• ASU Federal School Code is 001090.

Priority Deadline is February 15th.

• Monitor your Financial Aid Status in Self-Service by logging into Banner Self Service through http://mycampus.astate.edu.
• First year students will receive a paper award notification in the mail upon completion of all items necessary.
• Returning students will receive an email award notification via their Astate email account.
• Upon receipt of the award letter notification, students must logon to ASU Self Service Banner to indicate acceptance or denial of financial aid award.
• Financial aid funds will be disbursed to the students account at ASU after classes begin. Students may monitor their account and view their account summary through ASU Self Service Banner.
• If students have excess financial aid, it will be available through direct deposit or paper check which will be mailed to the student. Students may view the policy regarding receipt of excess financial aid and refund checks at:

Verification

Thirty percent or 1/3 of students who complete the FAFSA will be selected for verification If you are selected you must provide signed copies of your tax return and your parent’s tax return as well as a completed ASU verification form. The verification form can be found on the financial aid website at:
