Scholarship for 2012 High School Graduates
The following criteria will be used by the Scholarship Committee in selecting recipients:
Minimum criteria:
- Arkansas resident who is admitted to ASU
- Must be a spring 2012 graduate from an accredited Arkansas high school
- One of the following: minimum ACT score of 21 or minimum SAT score of 990
- Minimum six or seven semester grade point average of 3.000 on a 4.000 scale
- Must be an Arkansas Academic Challenge/Lottery Scholarships recipient
How to apply:
- No separate scholarship application required.
- Apply for admission to ASU
- Submit ASU admissions application with fee
- Visit our website at www.astate.edu/admissions
- Request official transcripts and ACT/SAT scores be sent to ASU Admissions from the high school
- Apply for the Arkansas Academic Challenge/Lottery Scholarship. The application can be found at www.adhe.edu
- Complete the 2012-2013 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Challenge recipients are required to complete FAFSA
- FAFSA Application available at http://www.fafsa.gov
Award Amount:
- Up to $2500 per academic year for courses taken on the ASUJ Campus
- The scholarship does not combine with any of the other ASU Institutional Scholarships

Renewal:
- Renewable up to a total of eight consecutive semesters or until first baccalaureate degree is received; whichever occurs first.
- Recipient must successfully complete 15 ASUJ hours each fall and spring semester and maintain a cumulative 3.000 GPA
The Scholarship is based on the availability of funding.
