Student Union Events

Creating a fun and energetic environment is the name of the game for the Student Union Events Committee. The committee is responsible for coordinating events such as: Fall & Spring Movie Series, Union after Dark, Coffee Houses, and the Student Union Holiday Celebration.

Public Relations

There is no success to an event unless the community you are targeting is notified. The Public Relations Committee works with various forms of media ranging from newspaper ads to creating Facebook groups in an effort to keep the campus community informed about upcoming events.

Spirit Club

WE GOT SPIRIT YES WE DO WE GOT SPIRIT WHAT ABOUT YOU! This exciting committee works to ensure that ASTATE PRIDE is alive and well. This is done by hosting two major events which are Order of the Pack (Fall Semester) & ASU Pride Day (Spring Semester.) Furthermore, this committee decorates the Student Union before every home football game and is in charge of the spirit flag.

Leadership Programs

Empowering people with information as well as recognizing individuals for their accomplishments is paramount. This committee is responsible for the annual High School Leadership Day, Etiquette Dinner, Student Leader of the Month, and an Evening of Leadership for Registered Student Organizations (RSO's.)

Multicultural Enrichment

Celebrating, educating, and informing others about differences is the purpose of this committee. This committee works with the Office of Multicultural Affairs and various other campus entities to ensure that each program is planned, developed, and executed properly. The committee is responsible for the university's observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration, Multicultural Week, and various other programs and lectures on diversity.

Special Events

Celebrating our university's traditions is extremely important to SAB. This committee is responsible for two very popular events on our campus which is Homecoming & Springfest.

Issues & Awareness

Bringing "hot topics" to the surface is the main objective of this committee. This committee is responsible for brining at least two lectures/educational programs to the university. Furthermore, this committee works with various community based entities to bring awareness  and educate the ASU Community.
