We are excited that you have chosen Arkansas State University as your home, and we want your Orientation experience to be extraordinary! To help us ensure that your Orientation runs as smoothly as possible please review the lists below, and we look forward to seeing you on your assigned date!

TO DO BEFORE YOUR ORIENTATION DAY:

  • To be able to register for classes on your Orientation day all items on the list below should be completed prior to your Orientation day: 
    • A completed admissions application & paid the $15 admissions fee
    • Sent all official transcripts from high school
    • Sent all official transcripts from college/concurrent enrollment
    • Sent official ACT/SAT/ASSEST/COMPASS and AP test scores
    • Proof of two immunizations for rubella, rubeolla, and mumps
    • Finalize payments for all outstanding University account balances. Contact Student Account Services for further assistance at 870-972-2285.
    • If you or someone attending with you has a disability which requires special accommodations for full participation in the Orientation program, please call the Leadership Center at 870-972-2055.

 TIPS FOR A SMOOTH ORIENTATION DAY:

  • Make sure you have not only registered for Orientation, but you have submitted all of the documents listed above to the Office of Admissions. If you are unsure if you have submitted all of your necessary documents please feel free to contact the Office of Admissions at 870-972-3024.
  • Watch for your Orientation session confirmation letter in the mail.
  • Plan accordingly. If you have other commitments during the Orientation you wish to attend, you should sign up for another session. Students are not permitted to leave until Orientation is complete.
  • Visit the 'NSO Parking' tab on the Orientation website to know where to park.

THE DAY OF ORIENTATION:

  • Parking will be available in the North Parking deck for free. Please refrain from parking in any space labeled with a red reserved sign or that is handicap accessible unless you have a premit to park there. 
  • Check in for the program is located on the 3rd floor of the Carl R. Reng Center directly outside of the Centennial Hall Ballroom.
  • Academic Colleges will host open houses at 11:00a during New Student Orientation for all students and parents. Please see below for location information and stop by the Check In Table on the 3rd floor of the Carl R. Reng Center for additional assistance.

College of Fine Arts – Theatre Majors – Fowler Center South Lobby

Health, Physical Education, or Sports Sciences majors – HPESS Foyer

College of Nursing and Health Professions – Reynolds Center – Meet at Donald Reynolds Bust located on 2nd floor

Teacher Education Department – Dean B. Ellis Library – Juvenile Collection Section – 3rd Floor

 

Religious Organizations will host Open Houses during New Student Orientation and all students and parents are invited to attend.

The Catholic Newman Center, located across from the Red Wolf Football Stadium at 2800 East Johnson Ave, Jonesboro, AR  72401, will host an open house from 12:00pm – 2:00pm with refreshments provided.

The Muslim Student Association (MSA) will host an open house at the Islamic Center of Jonesboro located at 118 N Rogers, Jonesboro, AR 72401, 12:00pm – 2:00pm with refreshments provided.
