The following is an explanation of the terminology used to complete the Disposition section of the UPD Crime Log:

Active                 The case is currently being investigated by UPD.

Unfounded          The case is determined through investigation to be

false or baseless.  No offense occurred nor was

                               attempted.

Closed                The case has been either solved, cleared

by arrest, referred to other authorities, or

has ran out of leads or developments in

the case. (If new leads or developments

in a case arise, the case will be re-opened

                               for further investigation.)
