Q:  How do I contact someone to help me with my internet problems?

A: You may contact either Angela Daniels or Ryan Pierce in Student Affairs Technology Services at (870) 972-2579 SATS specializes in helping students in the residence halls with internet problems, support problems, and computer lab issues.

 

Q: How do I get to ASU homepage?

A: In your URL type, www.astate.edu and go from there.

Q: Does my internet work outside of my room?

A: Yes, Take your laptop with you wherever you go using "Astate Anywhere." Wireless networking uses high frequency radio communications to provide up to 11 Mbps of bandwidth under optimal conditions.  All users must register their Mac address with ASU by going to: http://wireless.astate.edu

 Q: If I get on another computer on campus, can I still access my documents?

A: Yes, Students can store personal information at any computer on campus using their username and password (Digital ID).  This folder can be accessed anywhere on or off campus by signing in with their username and password (Digital ID) at: https://mydocs.astate.edu/ 

 

Q:  I'm a new student, why can't I access things like my email and documents?

 

 A:  After you get your Campus ID card, you will need to activate your "Digital ID".  This form of identification allows students to check email and access their "My Documents" folder among other things from anywhere on campus.  Visit the Digital ID website at: http://smail.astate.edu 

 

Q: Can I get Microsoft Office or other software put on my computer if I need it? 

A: ASU offers some free programs for ASU STUDENTS ONLY.

 A: The minimum recommended computer specifications are as follows:
