How to Get In

High school students interested in our program may contact the school counselor or call our office at anytime for more information.

Eligibility Requirements

First generation student (neither parent graduated from 4-yr college) and/or low income (meet federal income bracket).

In addition to the basic eligibility requirements, potential UB Students must;

• demonstrate need for program services

• possess a sincere interest in continuing their education beyond high school

• have earned at least average high school grades

• have a history of maintaining good behavior

Recruitment
UB staff conducts presentations at target schools about the program, its purpose and its expectations. Most counselors will announce the date so students can either sign up or be sure to be in attendance on that particular day.

Application
After viewing the presentation, those that are still interested and feel that our program is the right suite for them can then pick up an application from the counselor. We ask that students discuss our program with parents before picking up an application and distributing the recommendation forms.

UB Student Application

Interview
The UB Staff will return to the school for one-on-one interviews with potential students who have fully completed their application packet. Following the interview students will receive a letter stating their acceptance status.
