Arkansas Academic Advising Network (ArkAAN)

The Arkansas Academic Advising Network (ArkAAN) is an association of professional advisors, counselors, faculty, and administrators working to enhance the educational development of students.  ArkAAN was established in 1994 and has over 70 members representing different colleges and universities throughout the state.  Our purpose is to raise the level of recognition of academic advising as a profession and promote the professional development of academic advisors in higher education in Arkansas.  To fulfill this purpose, we offer networking opportunities, encourage members to participate in professional development activities and promote the development and implementation of professional standards of academic advising.  For ArkAAN membership information contact Executive Board Member

Melissa Jackson, President-Elect at mjackson@astate.edu.  ArkAAN members meet annually for a Professional Development Advising Conference.  Information for the next conference is forthcoming.
