The Arkansas State University Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) is designed to prepare students for the challenges of the expanding allied health profession of athletic training. Through the combination of extensive classroom and clinical experiences in athletic training, graduates of the program achieve the entry-level competencies necessary to challenge the certification examination offered by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (BOC) and embark on a career as a certified athletic trainer (ATC). The ATEP is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).
